I began teaching in 2001, working across primary, secondary and further education in both state and independent schools.
In 2021, I founded Lexipro English Tutoring to provide high-quality, tailored support in a nurturing environment. Since then, I have worked with a wide range of learners, including Year 5 pupils preparing for entrance exams, GCSE students aiming for top grades and adults improving their English for exams, career progression or everyday communication.
At Lexipro, I work with both neurodivergent and neurotypical learners, creating an inclusive and supportive space for growth at any stage of life. Some of my students are children who struggle in mainstream school, others are home-educated, and many are adults returning to study after years away. I take the time to listen, adapt and build meaningful relationships that strengthen skills and build confidence.
I collaborate closely with families, schools and professionals to support younger learners, and I work directly with adults who want to progress in education, work or daily life. Communication with families is regular and open, and adult learners are supported with structured, motivating feedback.
At its heart, Lexipro exists to support learners who may have felt overlooked, whether in school, further education or the workplace, helping them to overcome barriers and reach their full potential. Long-term relationships with students and families are grounded in patience, trust and steady progress.
Many describe me as a standout educator, with learners staying long-term because of the visible progress they achieve.
I am committed to continuous professional development and exploring new strategies that help my students succeed.
Lexipro English Tutoring – Private English Tutor
Whether working one-to-one or in a group, my tutoring is tailored to each student’s strengths and areas for development.
I specialise in the following:
I work with both neurotypical and neurodivergent students, including those with autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, dyslexia and barriers to school attendance. My approach is patient, empathetic and focused on developing both skills and self-assurance. Many GCSE students exceeded their predicted grades, often improving by multiple levels. ESL learners frequently progress from beginner to fluent, passing key exams and enhancing workplace communication.
South Thames College (Wandsworth) – Functional Skills English Teacher Supported adult learners (aged 25+) to develop essential reading, writing and speaking skills, many progressing from ESOL with limited confidence. I created a supportive classroom atmosphere where learners gained independence and communication skills, achieving a high exam pass rate, including 100% in Speaking & Listening.
Richmond upon Thames College (SEN Department) – English Teacher
Taught post-16 students with complex special educational needs, including non-verbal autism, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome and significant speech and language difficulties. Lessons were highly personalised and accessible, designed to meet varied needs while building trust, inclusion and self-belief.
City Gateway (Newham) – Functional Skills English Teacher
Delivered English Functional Skills up to Level 2 for 16–25-year-olds in an alternative provision for NEET learners. By adapting lessons to diverse abilities, I supported both high-achieving and SEN students, maintaining a 90%+ pass rate across Level 2. Ofsted commended my teaching for engaging resources and well-structured delivery.
Primary School Tutoring
At Lexipro, I support primary pupils in Years 5 and 6, including preparation for 11+ and entrance exams. My sessions build strong foundations in reading, writing and comprehension, helping learners gain confidence and make a smooth transition into secondary school.
